Dual Credit

As a result of a partnership between Spring Branch ISD and Houston Community College System, students are able to earn high school credit toward graduation and college credits at the same time. Memorial High School students who are recommended by their principal to take Dual Credit classes must meet Memorial High School requirements and also Houston Community College System requirements. Students may take up to two courses per semester prior to their graduation from high school. Public institutions of higher learning in the State of Texas, by law, accept HCCS transfer credit for college-level course work completed at HCCS. While most private and many out-of-state colleges and universities do as well, you would be advised to contact the school and inquire if they accept HCCS transfer credit.
