MEMORIAL HS MUSTANG BAND
The Mustang Band has a great tradition of excellence in
performance and competition. The band has performed for Gov. George
W. Bush as well as Cy-Young Award winner Roger Clemens of the New
York Yankees and Houston Astros. The band has also consistently
received Superior and Excellent ratings at Marching and Concert and Sight-Reading
contests.
The Mustang Band currently consists of 100 student musicians involved in
Marching Band, two Concert Bands, Winter/Color Guard, and Jazz
Ensemble. The band competes in UIL and TMEA auditions and
competitions through out the year. The band has recent success
in the Texas Color Guard Circuit, Bands of America, and UIL Marching
and Concert and Sight Reading Contests and recently placed 2nd at
the 2007 Buccaneer Marching Contest and 3rd at the 2008 Blinn Buckin'
Ear Jazzfest.
CHARMS music
This year the band programs in Spring Branch ISD are
using a powerful web-based software program which allows students
and parents easy access to information. The package includes a
calendar and news section, a file download section for class
handouts, and student information including financial information
about fees, fundraising, and trips.
