For Hire
The Memorial Orchestra regularly sends out string quartets (two violins, a viola and a cello) into the community to play for weddings, parties, receptions, etc. Our standard repertoire is classical music – but if you have a request – we can see if the piece is available.
Traditional wedding music includes selections from the following:

- Clark: Trumpet Voluntary

- Mendelssohn: Wedding March

- Schubert: Ave Maria
- Wagner: Bridal Chorus
We can also add a festive yet elegant atmosphere for your party or reception. Our music sets come from composers such as Bach, Mozart, Offenbach, Pachelbel and Vivaldi.
Our rate for a string quartet is $200 per hour, payable to Memorial Orchestra. If the booking lasts longer than a continuous hour – the musicians will need a break each hour. If the location of the booking is a long distance from Memorial High School – we will need to ask for gas money as well. Because of the unpredictability of weather contingencies - we are not able to accept bookings that will be held outdoors.
To book a quartet – email Bingiee Shiu with the date, time and location. You will receive a reply whether or not we will be able to book your event. After that – specific details can be worked out. Please allow several working days (two weeks) to book an event.
