Memorial Markettes
 

 

The Memorial Markettes are a competitive dance team dedicated to promoting school spirit and good sportsmanship.   These talented young women perform at football games, pep rallies and other sporting events in addition to performing in competitions and in an annual Spring Show.   Members who are selected to be part of this prestigious group are not only well-versed in dance technology and movement, they also learn life lessons that they can take with them into adulthood. Being a Markette not only teaches these young women the meaning of teamwork, but also gives its members a sense of pride – not only for their school but in themselves. Being selected to participate in the Markettes is an honor and an excellent opportunity for its members to meet new friends, to develop lasting relationships, to compete with peers at competitions, and to express school spirit. Auditions for Markettes are held in December, and if accepted, the new “Minikettes” begin that upcoming Spring semester.
