Biology literally means the study of life. Biologists make observations, ask questions, form hypotheses, and develop experiments to test their ideas concerning living things and their environment. Obviously, this is a broad field. As a result, many branches of biology exist…genetics, ecology, zoology, microbiology, etc. During the year we will survey a number of these areas with the objective that you will recognize their importance to you and your environment.
