Make-Up Policy for Tests and Labs

Minimize

For tests to be made-up then be here at my classroom before school at 7 AM to take the test so you do not miss the lecture or if this is  not possible for you then the test will be made-up during the class period and you are responsible for getting the notes from a classmate.  Once again if you do a make-up during the class period you will miss the lecture and need to get the notes from another student.

For labs missed then you will need to bring the appropriate number of partners to help you do the lab unless the lab can be done by oneself. This must be done within one week of the missed day or the grade becomes a zero. Once again you are responsible for securing partners to help you with the lab.

Tutorials before or after school.

Minimize

I am here before school starting at 7 AM unless I am in a meeting and after school until 4 PM unless I have to go to a meeting. This means you, the student, are not limited on which day or time you can come for tutorials. The tutorials are run as “open-access” with me helping many students at one time and not a single individual student for the whole time period.

Tutorials start at 7:00 am and go to first bell. Tutorials after school are pre-arranged by the student by setting an appointment with the teacher.

Keep up will all your reviews so you can study for the fall final from you mixed reviews.  If you have lost your mixed reviews, then you need to find a fellow classmate that has properly kept up with their materials and get a copy from the classmate.

STUDY! STUDY! STUDY is the best advice for any test.

How do I study or prepare for any test?
Remind them to study each day for about 15 - 20 minutes per subject.  They cannot cram it all in on the night before.  Reviewing each day is much better and you retain more and can then ask questions before class or at tutorials if you do not remember how to do it.
