Algebra I Academic:   Regular Algebra I class for freshmen.  Students should be very fast with math facts and fractions or they will have difficulty in the class.  TI-84 calculators are used in class (we have a class set) and students will need either a TI-83+ or TI-84+ to do the homework during the second semester.  Students need to do homework every night to practice the necessary skills.  Students who do not do well in Algebra I will most likely have a very difficult time in geometry and Algebra 2.

Algebra I Rescue:  Algebra class for those freshmen struggling with some basic skills.  Students do the same lessons as academic Algebra I but also work on basic math skills and completing their assignments during the second hour.
