About Me

  • Like my students, I am a product of Spring Branch schools, having attended Bunker Hill Elementary, Memorial Middle School, and Memorial High School.  After graduating from Memorial in 1985, I received my Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M (Whoop!!) and then my Master's Degree from the University of Houston.

  • My certifications include English/Language Arts 6 -12, History 6 - 12, and Social Studies Composite (all levels of history, World Geography, Government and Economics). For the past several years, I've focused mainly on AP and Pre-AP English, but it seems like I've covered every branch of language arts and history during my years of teaching!

  • This is my 23rd year to teach, all in Spring Branch schools.  I love teaching, and I am especially excited that each day I have the opportunity to learn something new.  How many professions can boast that?

  • Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our extended families.  I am an avid reader (see my favorite books at the bottom of the main page) a regular runner, and a decent cook.
