About Me

Hola!

I am originally from Honduras, where I studied Music Education at the National School of Music.

I taught music for 5 years at a private school and loved it! I moved to the US in 1999 to study voice at the University of Southern Mississippi. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts and then continue with a Master in Arts in the teaching of Foreign Languages. I taught Spanish I and II at the University of Southern Mississippi as an adjunct teacher and then moved to New Orleans where I taught music and Spanish for 2 years. Huracane Katrina brought me to Houston and I have been teaching at Memorial High school since then. Although music is my first love, I enjoy teaching Spanish and love the students at Memorial. In my free time I love making music and I am a proud member of the Houston Symphony Chorus. Hope you have a great year in my class!
